Banana Nut Cake

Makes 24 servings.
Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup bananas mashed
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 cup walnuts chopped

Directions:
mix dry ingredients together. Add vinegar to milk. Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, vanilla, milk and lemon juice. Add bananas. Add dry ingredients. Add walnuts. Bake in greased pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
