Blueberry Pie with Frozen Blueberries
Ingredients:
- 1 pastry crust
- 1 quart blueberries frozen
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup water cold
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons milk
Directions:
Combine blueberries, sugar, 1/2 cup water, cinnamon and lemon juice in saucepan and cook over medium heat. Dissolve cornstarch in remaining 1/4 cup water. When blueberry mixture comes to boil, stir in cornstarch and let cool. Pour filling into crust. Cover with top crust. Seal edges with milk and crimp. Perforate or cut air holes in top crust. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
