Butter Cookies
Makes 72 servings.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 pound butter
- 5 cups flour
- 1/4 pint sour cream
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 5 egg yolk
Directions:
mix dry ingredients together. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks, sour cream and vanilla. Add dry ingredients.
Press with cookie press onto un-greased cookie sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg whites and sprinkle with chopped walnuts. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees - bottom tray/6 minutes; turn, top tray/6 minutes.
