Dark Chocolate Cake
Makes 12 servings.
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate squares
- 1/4 pound butter
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch salt
- 3 tablespoons sour cream (heaping)
- 2 eggs
Directions:
Melt chocolate and butter together. Pour into mixing bowl. Add boiling water to the chocolate/butter pot, dissolve leftover chocolate/butter and add to mixing bowl. Combine flour, baking soda and salt together. Add sugar; add eggs and sour cream to mixing bowl. Add flour mixture. Bake in 8” square greased pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
