Pasta Fagioli
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 pound chopped cooked ham
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 5 cups water
- 28 ounces tomato sauce
- 2 15 ounce cans beans un-drained
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup 4 ounces ronzoni ditalini uncooked
Directions:
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter, add ham, onion . Cook, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender. Stir in water, tomato sauce, beans, parsley,
salt and pepper, heat to boiling. Add uncooked pasta, cook 14 minutes, stirring frequently, or until pasta is tender.
