Sesame Beef Tenderloin
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (3 pound) beef tenderloin
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
Directions:
1. In a large re-sealable bag, combine the first five ingredients Add tenderloin; seal bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate for 2 hours, turning several times.
2. Drain and discard marinade.
3. Brush the beef with honey; sprinkle with sesame seeds. Place in a shallow roasting pan.
4. Bake at 400 degrees F for 25 minutes. Cover with foil. Bake 30-35 minutes longer or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145 degrees F; medium, 160 degrees F; well-done, 170 degrees F).
5. Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.
